The Super Downloads desktop application runs entirely on your computer. The App does not collect, store, or transmit:
Settings and download history are stored locally on your device using standard application storage. This data never leaves your computer.
The one exception is activation (see section 4): when you activate the App, it sends the email address you enter once, together with the App version, your Mac's architecture and macOS version, and the computer name used to tell your devices apart. Nothing about what you download is ever sent.
This website (superdownloads.app) uses PostHog to understand aggregate traffic — page views, referrers, approximate country, browser and device type. This analytics setup is deliberately privacy-first:
Analytics data is processed by PostHog Inc. on servers hosted in the United States. Transfers rely on PostHog's standard safeguards for international data transfers under GDPR.
Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in understanding aggregate website usage, using anonymous, cookieless measurement that does not profile visitors.
When you activate the App: Super Downloads is free, and activation asks for your email address. We store it, with the technical details listed in section 2 and whether the "updates and new products" box was left ticked, so we know who uses the App and can contact you about important changes to it (for example, security fixes or the end of the free period). That box comes ticked: if you leave it on, we may also email you about App updates and our other products; untick it before activating and we won't. Every such email includes a one-click way to stop receiving them. The list is stored with our database provider, Airtable (Formagrid Inc., United States), under its standard safeguards for international data transfers. Legal basis: performance of the free licence you request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and, for updates and product news, our legitimate interest in telling the people who use our software about related products (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR and Art. 21.2 of Spain's LSSI), which you can object to at any time — at activation, from any email, or by writing to us.
When you contact support: we store your email and message content only to respond to your inquiry.
We retain activation email addresses for as long as you use the App or until you ask us to delete them, and support correspondence for as long as needed to resolve your inquiry. You can request deletion at any time.
If you are in the EU/EEA, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, and receive a copy of your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise any of these rights, email support@superdownloads.app — we will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority (in Spain, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, aepd.es).
We may update this policy. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
